V&V Consulting Engineers can execute, design and do contract supervision of highways, toll-roads, rural and urban roads, public transport facilities, airports and bridges. Emphasis is placed on innovative but appropriate and cost-effective designs to ensure value for money.

THE DESIGN OF UPGRADING OF ROADS

Due to the maturity of South Africa's road network, the design and construction of new roads decline and therefore, the emphasis has shifted to the design to upgrade existing roads. It requires the same effort and expertise, if not more, to cost effectively design and upgrade for an existing road as for a new road.

THE DESIGN OF ROAD MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION PROJECTS

Emphasis is placed on the extension of the service life of pavements and optimised utilisation of the budget. Whether we manage a resurfacing or re-gravelling project, our level of service is guaranteed to be professional.

GEOTECHNICAL AND MATERIAL INVESTIGATION

Members of staff have carried out several geotechnical investigations for roads and bridge works as well as for town planning purposes. To find suitable road building materials is of vital importance to the success of roads projects.

AIRPORTS MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION

Members of staff carried out several rehabilitation of runway and aprons projects as well as new runway design. Members were also actively involved on international airports and abroad.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND SUPERVISION

Due to the nature of specialisation in the company and the importance of quality control, emphasis is placed on these aspects and some staff members specialise in this field.

WATER AND SANITATION

V&V Consulting Engineers appointed Annes de Bruyn in January 2006 as HOD of Water and Sanitation. He boasts more than 30 years in the provision of Municipal Infrastructure. This department obtained the services of two female Civil Engineering graduates from the University of Pretoria, which were actively involved in the design and successful implementation of various major infrastructure projects.
